Tutankhamen's Treasures

In 1922 the discovery of the intact tomb of Tutankhamun became the best-known and most spectacular

archaeological find anywhere in the world. It had been untouched for over 3,000 years. When you look at the objects taken from the tomb - you are mesmerized - thinking these magnificent things were created thousands of years ago.  Hundreds of objects were found in the tomb. Below are just a few of the most amazing pieces on display at the

Egyptian Museum.

This whole area right in the middle of Cairo has been featured in many movies. It's like stepping back in time to medieval Cairo. Your eyes become lost in the unique mix of merchandise in shops and allies. Sparkling silverware, gold artifacts, antiques, stained glass lamps, incense, spices, and handmade carpets. The spot is home to many old cafes and you don't know

which one to try first. Hookah smoking is everywhere and we gave it a try and met some nice people.

Tonight, after dinner, we board our night train to Aswan.
