Luxor

Timeless Egypt
From the busy streets, you hear the echo of a call to prayer above the persistent car horns and hawker's calls. Donkey carts rattle down dusty lanes passing faded19th century homes and all the while colossal monuments looking on. Egypt, home to the last remaining wonders of the Ancient World
Karnak Temple
2055 BC to 100 AD

It is the largest religious structure ever made covering over 200 acres and a place of pilgrimage for over 2000 years.
The temple was so big that St Peters, Milan and Notre Dam Cathedral could fit within it's walls.
Kom Ombo Temple
322 BC to 392 AD

This temple is unique because it is a double temple. Dedicated to Sobek the crocodile god and Horus the falcon-headed god.

One of the most beautiful temples is the temple of Luxor. The temple is close to the Nile and laid out parallel to the riverbank. Two obelisks used to stand here. One remains the other stands in Paris. Karnak and Luxor Temple were once connected by an avenue of Sphinxes. Towards the back of the temple is a granite shrine dedicated to Alexander the Great.
